Staplegrove FC 4 - 1 Minehead AFC First

IT was a tough day at the office for Minehead AFC on Christmas Eve as they lost 1-4 away from home.

Staplegrove were too good on the day and for most of the match were on top and in control.

Minehead got a consolation goal through Hubert Wejnerowski.

The result sees Staplegrove climb up to 14th place in the Uhlsport Somerset County Division One.

Minehead AFC remain in seventh place in the league.

So far this season they have played 14 games, winning six, drawing twice and losing six. That has left them with 20 points in the league.

Top goalscorers for the club so far this season are Luciano Alves de jesus and Oliver Prescott, both of whom have four goals in all competitions.

Form wise, Minehead have had an up and down season. 

They started the campaign with five league wins on the bounce and were flying high.

However after that, they have just one game in a few months and such have dropped down the league table.

Their first game in the New Year is scheduled for January at home against Saltford First team. That match will kick off at 2pm.
