National League South: Taunton Town 0-1 Dover Athletic
TAUNTON Town were beaten at home on Saturday in the National League South by a stubborn Dover Athletic side.
It was a tightly fought contest with neither side really looking their best, but the visitors walked away with all three points.
The result means it is five National League South games without a win for the Peacocks.
A poor game saw little action in a goalless first half, as both sides struggled to get a foothold in the game.
Dover had more of the chances but none were clear cut, and Lloyd Irish was having a decent game in goals for Taunton, in for the regular Jack Bycroft.
The visitors grabbed the crucial goal on 56 minutes, Brandon Pierrick getting clear down the right and his cross fell loose for Jordan Higgs to drill into the net.
Town were unable to make any inroads at the other end as the Kent side returned home with the points and League double.
