THE final of the Somerset League One Squash Cup was played on Monday, April 24 and Wyvern picked up the win.
The match was between Wyvern 1 who were the Spring League Winners, and Merriot the Winter League Winners.
As you can imagine the two strong sides put up an entertaining battle for the crowd watching on.
The final was a great match against a strong Merriott team and at the end of the night it was Wyvern who were the worthy winners 4-1.
The full scorecard was Luke Bishop 3 - Andy Marsh 0, Dave Tarr 3 - Shaun Heath 1, Sam Weston 3 - Tom Angel 0, Tom Watters 2 - James White 3, and Derek Truman 3 - Toby McPherson 0.
That meant that the Wyvern were comfortable winners in the end, 4-1.
The squad for Wyvern was James Rew, Terry Bailey, Sam Weston, Derek Truman, Tom Watters and Dave Tarr.
