ALL three of Taunton Vivary’s teams won in the latest round of WSBL matches last Thursday, each picking up 10 points for wins on two rinks.
The A team were at home to Williton A, and won by 58 v 42. The B team played away to Wellington B, and won by the narrowest margin 55 v 54. The C team won for the first time this season with an excellent 56 v 49 victory away at Williton B.
These results leave the B and A teams in second and third place in Division One. Along with leaders Wellington A, they are the only undefeated sides after 3 matches. The C team lifted themselves off the bottom of Division Two with their win.
The Saturday B team scored their first win of the season in a convincing victory at home over Bridgwater B by 83 v 49, winning on all three rinks for the full 12 points. Dennis Buckingham’s rink won 29 v 11, and the other two rinks matched each other – both Dick Bridgeman and Harry Scragg winning 27 v 19.
The C team lost on all rinks to go down 30 v 64 away to league leaders Yeovil B.
