IN Thursday’s WSBL matches for Taunton Vivary BC, the travelled away to play against the Deane, A versus B in both matches.
In the local derby, the B teams came out on top in both cases.
Vivary A went down to Deane B by 40 v 70, gaining only one point for a drawn rink.
However, Vivary B triumphed over Deane A by 51 v 48, in spite of losing on two rinks. Vivary C team had an excellent home win over Wellington C by 51 v 47, picking up 10 points for two winning rinks.
The Saturday teams’ results were much better than last week. The A team won at home against Bath A, winning on two rinks for an overall 67 v 62 victory and 10 points.
The B team went one better, scoring all 12 points for a 62 v 43 triumph away at Bridgwater A, a result which keeps them on top of the table.
The C team were also at home, with a narrow victory 60 v 59 over Street B. This was in spite of losing on two rinks, but they picked up 8 points for the overall win.
