AT Oake Manor Golf Club on Saturday 176 golfers played in stormy weather in a Bowmaker Competition in teams of 4 for the Pete Litten Trophy.

A magnificent amount of £2,500 was raised for the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance.

The competition was organised by Past Club Captain Graham Salway assisted by The Acorns, a group of golfers within the Golf Club.

The winning team were Mark Tydings, Martin Rivers, Nick Clayton and Chris Hayfield with a score of 88 points. In second place with 87 points were Clive Thorne, Dave Hollow, Marc Holloway and Helen Hayward while in third place with 86 points were Jane and Richard Clist with Liz and Mike How. Team prizes went to sixth place and there were 18 spot prizes and prizes for best front 9 holes and best back 9 holes.

Andrew Thompson won the Friday Stableford Competition scoring 39 points, Dan Kennedy was second with 38 points and Daniel Bidgway came third with 37 points.

Darren Cornwall was first in the Sunday Stableford Competition with 40 points, Calum Pinn was second with 37 points and Michael Bright was third with 36 points.

Kathryn Loader won the Ladies Sunday Stableford Competition scoring 38 points, Amanda Mather was second with 35 points and Karen Potter came third with 33 points.

Chris Stokes won the Seniors Stableford Competition on Monday with an excellent score of 44 points, Charles St George came second in division 1 with 43 points while Mike Eastmond was third with 40 points. Robert Davies came first in division 2 with 41 points, John Vinison was second with 37 points and Bernard Reed was third with 36 points.

The Ladies played a Bogey Competition on Tuesday, Sue Corlett won division 1 scoring +1 against the course, Pat Snelling was even to come second and Daphne Priddy was third at -1. Emma Fitzgerald had the best score of the day at +3 to win division 2, Kate Foster was second at even and Judy McKellar came third at -1.

Harry Forknall won the Wednesday Midweek Stableford Competition with 43 points, Nigel Foxwell came second with 42 points and Richard Connell was third with 41 points.
