CHRIS Coxon with 66 was the winner in Division One of Saturday’s Fuller Medal at Taunton and Pickeridge Golf Cup.

Two players returned with 68 but after countback it was Robin Cracknell who edged in front og Phil Howard to claim second place.

There was a two way tie at the top of Division Two  but after countback it was Mike Liddle who was first just ahead of Robin Herbert after both scored 65.

Chris Puckett came out on top in the third division but only after countback put him ahead of second placed Jim Nation, and John Herrington after all three tied on 67.

In other news at the club, Georgia Richards held her Ladies Captain’s Day last week, the theme of which was Cartoon Characters and Superheroes that was very well supported with many participants suitable attired.

Played as a Texas Scramble the winning team was Jacky Ford, Sarah Gamble and Margaret Nation, while Emma Smith (Ladies Vice Captain) won best fancy dress as Wonder Woman.

Entries are open via the for the Professional’s Open Day competition on Sunday 3rd September a Pairs Better Ball Stableford open to Ladies, Gentlemen and Juniors or mixed pairings of any combination.

This promises to be another great golfing occasion with a range of prizes and on course competitions. In addition the Clubhouse is running a All You Can Eat Breakfast Buffet for £10 per person between 9am and 1.30pm.

T&P recently held their Junior Open and Justin Rose Daily Telegraph Qualifier, when the weather was dry and the day was a great success.

The overall Gross Winner of the 18 hole medal was Joshua Murphy from Exeter GC with a 74, Ben Newman the T&P Gross Winner with 79 was second and Ryan Bowden (Burnham & Berrow)was third with 83.

The overall Nett Winner was Lewis Walters from T&P with 65.  In Division 1, HI (0-15.9), Tate Sinfield-Day from T&P was first with 71, Thomas Gendall (Oake Manor) was second with 72 and Zach Rickford (Tiverton) third with 73.

In the 9 hole stableford competition T&P claimed the top three places. Chloe Brandhuber won with 20 points, Joseph Tutcher came second with 18 points while Oscar Sanderson  came third with 16 points.

The organisers would like to thank the junior team of Berni, Jan, Jacky and John, and Georgia Richards, Ladies’ Captain, who presented the prizes, and Martin Hill, who acted as Starter on the 1st tee.
