TAUNTON Town FC have added more firepower to the front line with the addition of a new striker.
23-year-old Elliott Dugan has signed on for the Peacocks and went straight on to the bench for Saturday's home match against Havant and Waterlooville.
On signing, Dugan said: "I’m delighted to be here and to have the privilege of wearing the shirt. I’m looking forward to contributing my best on the pitch and working hard to help the team achieve its goals.
"It’s a new chapter in my football journey and I can’t wait to wear the Taunton Town colours with pride.”
Dugan started his career with Swindon Town and played for their Under 18 side before being released, whereupon he spent some time playing in Sweden for Ytterhogdals IK.
He then signed for APEA Akrotir in Cyprus in the summer of 2020 and went on to score 24 goals in 30 games. This earnt him a move to third tier Cypriot club Kouris Erimis where he notched seven goals in 10 games before leaving in December 2021.
A move to Northern Ireland followed a month later when he joined Portadown but left the Danske Premiership club at the end of the season before joining Cymru Premier side Haverfordwest County in September 2022 where he scored three times last season from 20 appearances.
Head of Football Rob Dray added: "It’s good to add another forward to our resources after the usual issues with international clearance and now we’re looking forward to Elliott developing over the coming weeks as he adapts to life in the National League.”
