TAUNTON Town Football Club recently welcomed staff and service users from Cygnet Health Care to Wordsworth Drive to officially launch their sponsorship of the North Stand.
The health care service has continued their great support of the club by becoming the new sponsor of the North Stand along with primary sponsorship on the front of the away shirts and shorts.
Taunton Town football operations manager Karl Lindsay said: "We are delighted to continue the relationship we have built over the last four years with Cygnet Hospital in Taunton and proud to be associated with them in their work to help breaking down the barriers associated with mental illness.
"It is fantastic to see patients come to the ground to watch a game and grow with confidence with each visit through social interaction as well as the all- important support they give to the team."
Dr Phil de Warren-Penny who is Medical Director & Consultant Psychiatrist at the Cygnet Hospital Taunton added: "The relationship between Taunton Town Football Club and Cygnet Hospital Taunton is a significant benefit to our patients, breaking down the stigma associated with mental illness and providing a meaningful anchor into the community. I am delighted that our relationship continues to grow."
