WHEN searching through the County Gazette archives recently, I came across a great big folder filled with black and white pictures of Taunton Town FC footballers and coaches.

The pictures vary from action on the pitch, to training shots, pre-season photoshoots and many more.

These pictures highlight the great history Taunton Town Football Club has and of course is a reminder to the long list of players who have represented the club down the years.

There are some household names within the photographs, including many of the late chairman Tom Harris who was a man who put his life into the club.

As well as that there are previous managers like Russell Musker, Paul West to name a few, and lets not forget about some top players who helped Taunton win local and national titles.

Do you recognise any of these players in the photographs? Perhaps some still come down to the Somerset Campervan Co Stadium to cheer on the modern day Peacocks.
