TAUNTON Town's squad has taken another hit as star midfielder Lee Lucas has left the club by mutual consent.
Effective immediately Lucas has departed the club after making 56 full and 10 substitute appearances.
Head of Football Rob Dray has said: "We’re gutted to lose Lee but circumstances made it very difficult. He has been a superb servant and without doubt technically brilliant.
"He gave us everything and he will be missed as a player and a lad."
The former Swansea City and Motherwell player had been with the club since May 2020 and after an injury interrupted two seasons he enjoyed a full and successful participation in the Peacocks’ debut year in the National League South.
The club added: "We would like to thank Lee for his service whilst with the club and wish him the best of luck in the future."
