TAUNTON Town FC have confirmed the signing of two new players following the transfer embargo placed on the club being lifted.

The club has brought in a new striker in Seb Bolton and a midfielder in Jaden Brown.

Speaking on the new signings, head of football Rob Dray said the pair will help the squad with the relegation battle to come in the remainder of the season.

He said: "We’re pleased to be able to boost the squad with these two young forward players after the embargo was lifted. Both offer very different things and both will be valuable for us as we face having to complete nearly a third of the season in the next eight weeks.”

Bolton hails from Bradford and has gained experience with a number of northern clubs including Bradford Park Avenue, Brighouse Town and Wakefield as well as featuring for both Morecambe and FC Halifax Town Under 18’s.

He said: "I’m really excited to start the next chapter in my career. I can’t wait to start playing and scoring goals.”

Dray added: "Seb is a very enthusiastic player who’s travelling a great distance to come and play for us. His commitment to the club is huge and it’s only just begun.”

Brown is the son of former Bristol City player Aaron Brown and progressed through the City Academy to the club’s Under 18 team before beginning this season with Southern League Yate Town.

Brown said: "I’m really looking forward to playing for the club. I feel like it’s a massive opportunity for me, but I also think I have something different to offer the team in attack and hopefully I can contribute towards keeping the club in the National League South where it deserves to be.”

And speaking on Brown signing, Dray added: "Jaden is a good young midfielder who’s almost become part of the furniture here.

"He’s been training with us for a good couple of months, but we have only just been able to actually get him signed on. I’m excited to get him in front of the fans.”

The pair will provide much needed squad depth for Taunton Town who now have a big challenge in front of them in the National League South.
