Lauren Watts, a member of the first team staff at Wellington AFC, has been appointed as sports therapist with the England Schools U15 Girls.

Lauren, who has been with the Tangerines for nearly two seasons, has so far attended an England training camp at St George’s Park and the team’s 6-0 win over Wales in an international friendly.

On Sunday, she is off to Dublin for their next training camp.

During the week, Lauren is based at the Hurley Clinic in Taunton where she provides full sports therapy services including shorts massage, shockwave, dry needling, myofascial cupping and injury management.

“I love seeing people progress from injuries, be that in daily life or sport.

“During my time with Wellington, I’ve seen a fair share on injuries – some have been quicker fixes than others.

“It’s very pleasing to report that goalkeeper Rob Hall is nearing his full training comeback after having his ACL reconstructed in May last year.

“Through lots of hard work, many hours in the gym doing rehab, and dedication to the long road to recovery, he is back running and changing direction fully.

“Getting back training with the lads is next on the cards for him at the club.”
