National League South: Hampton & Richmond 1-1 Taunton Town
The Peacocks brought their losing run in the Vanarama National League South to an end with a 1-1 draw at Hampton & Richmond this afternoon.
The point was fully deserved after Town had fought back from a shaky start, falling behind after 12 minutes when Ben Seymour’s flicked header from Isaac Pitblado’s cross beat returning keeper Dan Lavercombe.
The hosts missed chances to extend their lead and were pegged back during first half stoppage time when a Lloyd James cross was knocked down in the area and Callum Dolman seized on the opening to sidefoot home from ten yards.
A rejuvenated Peacocks had the better of the second half but despite pressing the hosts back, were unable to snatch a winner.
Town now prepare for another vital match on the road at Braintree Town on Tuesday evening as they continue to fight in a relegation battle.
