Taunton Town manager Richard Luffman is looking to ‘kick on’ now that the Peacocks have their first win of the season.

Speaking to the club's social media team after the game against Frome on Monday (August 26), Luffman said he was ‘delighted’ with the win.

He said: “I thought we were thoroughly the best team from start to finish and deserved a win in the first four (games) but it hasn’t come but it has today and I’m going to enjoy this week.

“I thought first 20 minutes we were uncomfortable with the shape they had and we altered things quite quickly. Dave (Duru) scored a wonder goal and I think people were probably questioning why I brought Dave to the club but Dave in moments is as good as anyone in those situations. He’ll kick on now.

“I never felt under pressure and the moment the second goal went in, it was game over.

“We were the better team, deserved the win, its onwards and upwards now and we can start looking up that table.”
