Taunton Town are back in action at the Cygnet Health Care Stadium on Saturday as their FA Cup campaign gets underway against Didcot Town.
The Peacocks compete in the FA Cup first qualifying round against opponents from the level below with Didcot playing their league football in Southern League Division One South.
So far this season, Didcot have played three league games, winning one, drawing one and losing the other. They’ve also had one game called off.
They started the season by defeating Larkhall Athletic 1-0 but were then thrashed 5-1 by Malvern Town. Last time out they drew 1-1 with Bemerton Heath Harlequins.
Taunton come into the game on the back of their first win of the season at Frome.
Speaking after the Frome game, Taunton Town manager Richard Luffman said the FA Cup is important for the club.
He added: “There’s some proper money at stake and if you can get two or three rounds it can change club’s fortunes but you’ve got to win the early ones to arrive in those games.
“We can go into a proper game of football against a good club in Didcot and we want to progress to that second qualifying round – we’re not going to take Didcot lightly at all.”
The game will take place at the Cygnet Health Care Stadium on Saturday, August 31. Kick off is 3pm.
