FORMER Wellington player Brooke Aspin has signed for Crystal Palace Women on a season-long loan from Chelsea.
The 19-year-old England international, who attended Court Fields School, will bolster the London side's defensive options.
Aspin, a product of the Bristol City academy system, joined the Robins at age 14 and debuted two years later.
She made 26 appearances in her first season and overcame a health setback to help Bristol City win the 2022/23 Women's Championship.
She signed for Chelsea and spent the subsequent season back on loan at Ashton Gate, where she played 17 times in last season's WSL, scoring twice.
Aspin has captained England at Under-17s and Under-19s level and received her maiden England Under-23s call-up last year.
Aspin becomes Palace Women's 11th arrival of the summer, after My Cato, Lexi Potter, Josie Green, Milla-Maj Majasaari, Jorja Fox, Ashleigh Weerden, Katrine Veje, Shae Yañez and Indiah-Paige Riley, ahead of their first season in the Women's Super League.
Aspin said: "It's amazing,. I've come here to hopefully show Crystal Palace what I'm about, and I've loved every minute so far.
"The ambition for the club looks amazing and it's impressive how they've got into the WSL, so I can't wait."
Grace Williams, head of women's football, said: "Brooke is a brilliant defender who possesses a great amount of experience and potential at a young age.
"We look forward to helping her develop with further WSL football as we look to also establish ourselves in the competition."
