Taunton Deane Bowling Club recently held their Summer Finals Weekend for both the indoor and outdoor competitions.
Spectators were treated to some excellent bowling on the outdoor green and indoor rinks across both days.
The results for the outdoor competitions saw Charlie Takle win the Men's Champion of Champions, beating Tony Foxwell, who retired injured, with a score of 12.
In the Ladies Champion of Champions, Julie Carmichael narrowly defeated Lyn Williams, with a score of 21 to 19.
The Men's Non-Winners competition was won by Baz Hurford, who triumphed over Simon Beale with a score of 22 to 4.
In the indoor competitions, Tony Parsons won the Men's Singles against John Troake, with a score of 22 to 17.
The Open Non-Winners competition was won by Roy Varndell, who beat Liz Lydon 21 to 10.
The Open Clyno was won by Di Routley, who scored 55 against Tony Parsons' 41.
The club expressed gratitude to all competitors, spectators, and the umpires and markers for each final.
Looking ahead, Taunton Deane Bowling Club is set to hold an Open Day on Sunday, October 6, from 10am to 2pm.
People of all ages and genders are invited to come along and give bowls a try.
Bowls and shoes will be provided, and parking is free at the club on Blackbrook Way (TA1 2RW).
