Wellington AFC's floodlights have been taken down for the final time.
For nearly 40 years, the four pylons were removed at the end of each season to allow for cricket matches on the same field.
Installed in 1986, the lights are being replaced by new LED lights with four corner-mounted pylons, which will be permanent.
This change is part of a series of improvements following the club's decision not to move to a new ground at Longforth Farm due to costs.
The club has also built a new 100-person spectator stand, helping them meet their FA Step Five grading requirements.
Further plans include erecting a new pitch surround and renewing the footpath on the clubhouse side of the pitch.
A spokesperson for the club said: "Thanks to everyone who came along to help take down the lights for one last time.
"A special mention to R&A Commercials for their help, today and over the years, to Mike Boyd and to Jane Brown for the very welcome coffee and bacon rolls!"
