Southern League Premier South: Evesham United 3-0 Taunton Town
In what proved to be manager Riochard Luffman’s last game in charge of thew Peacocks, Taunton Town’s winless run extended to six games in Worcestershire.
Taunton Town travelled to Worcestershire for their league clash with Evesham United, hoping to put an end to a baron run of results since the end of September.
However, their opponents on the day came out victorious.

Following their 3-2 defeat to Bracknell Town, Luffman made four changes to the starting XI with Niall Thompson, Tom Purringotn, Noah Rubio and Alfie Moulden all coming in for Toby Stephens, Josh Owers, Jayden Nielsen and Seidou Sanogo.
Evesham United opened the scoring when the ball wasn’t fully cleared allowing Josh Barlow ro sweep the ball home from the edge of the box.
By the end of the first half, Evesham United had stretched their lead to three goals with Liam Hutt adding the third after a powerful run through the Taunton Town defence.
A couple minutes into the second half and Tom Purrington looked to try and drag the Peacocks back into the game but his effort was sliced following a Chris Zebroski cross.
Luffman threw on new signing Scott Robinson who joined the club a couple days earlier from Bideford. Sanogo also came on.
The Peacocks struggled to make an impact on the scoreline despite a couple efforts blocked in the Evesham area with around 15 minutes to go.
Taunton Town will be now looking to replace Richard Luffman as manager as they go into the busy Christmas schedule.
The Peacocks find themselves just a point above the drop zone having won once in 11 games.
Next up is a trip to Yate Town on Saturday (December 20) before another away day at Hungerford Town – a match that was re-arranged due to the weather.
Then Taunton Town finally return to home comforts when they face Gloucester City on December 27 before they start 2026 with a trip to local rivals Tiverton Town.
