Taunton Town’s on loan striker Ben Seymour has agreed to depart his parent club Torquay United by mutual consent.

The National League South club agreed to let former Exeter City graduate Seymour join the Peacocks in the summer on a loan deal.

Since then, Ben Seymour has had a good season for Taunton Town in Southern League Premier South, scoring six goals in 18 games so far this season.

In an update on loan players, Torquay United posted on social media confirming that Seymour had now left the Devon club ‘by mutual consent’.

A spokesman for Torquay United said: “Former Exeter City forward Ben signed for Torquay following a productive season with fellow National league South outfit Hampton & Richmond Borough in June 2024.

“After making 14 appearances and scoring 1 goal for The Gulls last season, Seymour has proven to be a big hit in Somerset after joining Taunton on loan ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

“Having now agreed to depart Plainmoor on a permanent basis (subject to FA approval), the Club would like to place on record its thanks to Ben for all his efforts in a United shirt.”
