Wiveliscombe RFC celebrated an excellent season at their annual dinner and presentation evening recently.
The event saw the club revel in their achievements, with the first XV's promotion to the Regional Two Tribute Ale South West Division, marking the highest level reached since the league's formation.
Awards were handed out to those who contributed over the past eight months.
Among the recognised were Dennis and Emma Quick as supporters of the year, and Emma Weaver, who was named volunteer of the year.
Club captain Will Ellis was named the best playing club member.
He was also joined by fellow players Sam Habberfield, Matt Ellis, Olly Stanbury, Jack Lee, and Arthur Irvine, who have all represented Somerset in senior and junior rugby development squads.
The club is hopeful that these players will continue to represent their county in the future.
The awards continued with Baz Lockyer receiving the Sid Woodbury Memorial Trophy for a non-playing club member.
Meg Wignall was named the ladies' players' player, and Holy McDowell was the ladies' most improved player.
Luke Stevens was awarded the Len Lloyd Memorial Cup for the second team player of the year, while Jack Lee received the Ern Greedy Memorial Trophy for the most improved player.
The Trevor Coates Memorial Trophy for breakthrough player of the year went to Oll Stanbury.
The David Warren Cup for the most improved colt player was awarded to Lewis May, and the Colts' coaches' award went to Olly Stanbury.
The J Land Memorial Trophy for colt of the year was shared between Luke Barrington, Kayden Bush, and Jack Lee.
The WRFC players' player of the year was Will Ruell.
