WYVERN RFC are to break with tradition enter the league structure next season.
Formed in 1970 as the rugby section of the Somerset County Council sports and social club, Wyvern’s ethos has always been on the social side of the sport.
This is set to continue as the Wyvern look forward to playing in Somerset Three South for the 2009-10 season.
Wyvern RFC chairman Doug James explained that it was not a difficult decision to make.
He said: “Over the last few seasons Wyvern has attracted a number of new players, young and old, eager to play competitive yet social rugby.
“The Wyvern is the place to do just that.”
