TAUNTON Under-9s returned victorious from their tour of Cornwall, having won the Hayle mini festival.
The side played in a group of six on the Saturday and then competed in the semi-finals and final the following day.
Taunton remained undefeated throughout the tournament against the likes of Cornish Pirates, Redruth, Camborne, Truro and Hayle.
The squad played their best rugby of the season with great interlinking play, strong rucking and a tight defence. Taunton scored over 20 tries and conceded only six over the seven games.
The team were Chris Tattersall (coach), Thomas Luxton, Jamie Topps, Connor Vickery, Richard Capstick, Adam Coles, Adam Turner, Luke Allum, Patrick Cross, Joe Aries, ‘Mitch’ Baker, Bertie Williams, Jack Nicol.
