TAUNTON Town slipped to their third straight defeat as they went down 2-1 at Hungerford Town in Division One South and West of the Zamaretto League on Saturday.
The returning NIck McCootie gave Taunton the lead on 21 minutes and the visitors had plenty of opportunities to extend their advantage before the break.
However, it was Hungerford who got on the scoresheet next when, after 70 minutes, a shot from former Taunton striker Steve Cook was deflected in off Nick Peare.
And the hosts snatched all three points nine minutes from time through Kevin Halliday’s free kick.
