KEYLINE Taunton and District Sunday League side Westford Rangers remain on course to record a quadruple this season.

They are already in four cup semi-finals and went top of Division One at the weekend with an 8-2 victory over Staplegrove. Scott Chidgey, Lee Hellier and substitute Dean Yarde scored two apiece with Anthony Date and Rodney Marsh also on the scoresheet.

Champions Spartans condemned Bathpool to only their second league defeat of the season, netting a last-gasp winner in a 3-2 victory.

Shepherd Wednesday and North Curry drew 1-1, Jamie Tong on target for Wednesday and Steven Daniels for Curry.

It’s tight at the top of Division Two. Third-placed Holway United, whose game was postponed at the weekend, look best set with four games in hand, although Ash Rangers remain top after a hard-fought draw away at Creech.

Steve Martin put Creech in front before half time, but Charlie Johnson gave Ash a deserved equaliser.

Westgate are right in the mix after they beat Black Horse 3-0, Mark Kmita, Arron Coles and Carl Edwards on target.

Old Inn beat Watchet Town Blue Waves 3-1 thanks to two goals by Wayne Cook and one from Dave Sweet.

With the top two in Division Three out of action the rest of the teams tried to play catch up.

Ash Rangers Reserves went third after an exciting 4-3 win over Flying Fins. Lee Westwood (2) and Ryan Polley (2) netted for Ash.

Barleycelona Blues secured a 4-0 victory over Pegasus with strikes from Sam Cook (2), Dan Woodgate and Ashley Gaines.

Dan Perks (2), Steve Tilley and Dan Barnes were the scorers for Somerset Inn in their 4-1 win over Wyndham Arms, whose consolation came from Nigel Jeffries.

Division Four as taken on a different look after York House Inn were thrown out of the league following a disciplinary meeting. Their record has been expunged. This was bad news for Churchinford who lost six points, three of them from Sunday when they beat York House 13-2.

Carhampton became the new leaders as they made it eight straight wins by beating Harlem Athletic 7-0 – Peter Barker (2), Mark Bolton, Chris Chilcott, Liam Groves, Damion Redman and an own goal were on the scoresheet.

TY Predators beat Eagle Tavern 4-1 thanks to efforts from Joe Glover, Mark Smith and Kurtis Russell (2). Martin Hawkings scored Eagles’ reply.

PQR completed the semi-final line-up in the Gardner Cup after a 5-2 victory over Tone Youth.

Despite the scoreline, Tone Youth put up a good show, twice levelling and hitting the bar twice, but it was PQR who finished the stronger.

Richard Barker came off the bench to score twice with Lloyd Alley, Adrian Farrel and an own goal completing PQR’s tally. Tom Robins scored both goals for Tone.

PQR face Westford Rangers in the last four, while Shepherd Wednesday play Spartans.
