SOMERSET made it five victories from five in the Clydesdale Bank 40 with a 71-run win against Worcestershire at Bath on Sunday.

The hosts looked to be heading for a below-par total after being reduced to 157-7, despite half centuries from Craig Kieswetter and Zander de Bruyn.

However, a fine knock of 51 not out from just 34 deliveries from Ben Phillips helped pull the total up to 235-9.

Somerset had the best possible start with the ball as Mark Turner dismissed Vikram Solanki with the first delivery of the innings.

Turner, whose first team opportunities have been limited this season, went on to take 4-36 as Worcestershire were skittled out for 164 in 32.4 overs.

Somerset are now three points clear of second-placed Surrey in Group A, having played a game more.

FORMER Somerset all-rounder Wes Durston scored a magnificent century as ECB recreational side Unicorns defeated Sussex in Group A.

Durston scored an incredible 117 from just 68 balls, including 13 fours and five sixes as Unicorns chased down Sussex’s mammoth 325-4 for the loss of four wickets with three balls to spare.
