Taunton RFC have confirmed that Tony Yapp will remain at the club as 1st XV coach.
Yapp will be hoping to steer the club into the new era of Taunton rugby and was delighted after last Saturday’s 32pts-29 victory over Shelford — a result which confirmed they would remain in National Two South next season.
“The lads pulled out all the stops in another Hyde Park thriller to please the fans,” he said.
“The bonus points win certainly takes the pressure off as we move into the last three games of the season.”
They travel to face Worthing in Sussex on Saturday.
Taunton’s final home game of the campaign is on April 21.
Club chairman Pete Stone was delighted with last weekend’s results.
“Our 1st XV ensured National League status for next season and our Under-17s followed up with an impressive win in Bristol to put them just one game away from an Under-17s National Final, which would be just brilliant,” he said.
