Wellington made it six wins out of six in Division One of the Somerset League on Saturday when they made their highest ever score in 40 years of league action.
Wellington, playing against Belvedere of Weston Super-Mare, made 304-4 and then dismissed the home side for 166.
Choosing to bat first Paul Short saw his opening partner Marc Holloway run out in the second over, but this setback was quickly forgotten as Short and Alex Sparks plundered a 137 second wicket stand in 26 overs as they used a fine batting track and fast outfield to maximum effect.
Short made a third 50 in four knocks with 62 including 12 fours before McCrea bowled him.
Sparks played the ball superbly off his legs in making the club's first century of the season as he hit a fine 109 at a great rate and was third out at 223 in the 39th over.
In the remaining six overs Michael Gill rounded off a powerhouse knock of 94 not out with four sixes as he saw Wellington add 81 runs in tandem with Max Capaldi and Neil Hendy to raise Wellington to 304-4 at tea.
Wellington's previous best was the 302-5 they made against Taunton Outcasts seven years ago.
Belvedere tried all their available options and McCrea with 1-32 in seven was their best bowler by analysis.
After McCrea had been caught by Max Capaldi in Thom Trott's second over Belvedere skipper Chadwick and keeper Jones added 71 for the home side's second wicket as they cashed in on some - at times at least - wayward Wellington bowling.
Taking the pace off the ball was key and the introduction into the attack of Indika Weerawarna's off-spin and Neil Hendy's controlled swing bowling got Wellington back on track as Hendy bowled Chadwick around his legs for 36.
Weerawarna had 0-29 in five overs - after seven more he had 6-39 as he wrecked the Belvedere middle order by taking three wickets in five balls in the 27th over.
Sam Murdock bowled a good spell of medium pace and it was left to Luke Desave to end matters with the last two wickets in taking 2-38 in 8.4 overs.
Wellington entertain Cheddar - relegated from the Somerset Division of WEPL at the end of last season - this Saturday.
