Taunton Deane beat Taunton 70-43 in the first round of the mixed indoor friendly section of the Jubilee Cup.
Scores (Taunton Deane): J Cross, H Norris, G Westlake and M Westlake won 20-19; A Davies, G Lock, G Abbey and G Norris won 27-14; T Stone, D Holland, S J Stone and P Thorne won 23-10.
In the West Country Summer Indoor Bowls Mixed League Taunton Deane Jaguars were narrowly defeated by hosts Kingsley Monarchs 45-36.
