FOUR Queen’s College players starred at the Under-13s UK Festival of Hockey for Boys, in Nottingham.
Toby Bloxham, Alex Chihota, Ollie Drummond and Max Wombwell played for West Panthers, who won all their pool matches before losing out to South Saxons through penalty shuffles in the semi-finals.
Drummond, who captained the side, was presented the ‘Player of the Tournament’ plate.
The last Panthers player to receive this accolade was Queen’s student Tim Nurse, who now represents England at Under-18s level.
Chihota was selected and Drummond re-selected for the Under-14s UK Lions.
Two more Queen’s players, Eleana Stevenson and Pippa Drummond, will represent the West Panthers at the Girls’ Festival in Manchester next month.
