TTNC Spartans 46, Vivary 42

VIVARY started slowly and Spartans took an early lead, which they extended in the second quarter.

Vivary settled in the third quarter and closed the gap to 34-29, but for all their efforts they could not pull it back.

TOMAHAWKS started strongly in this battle of the high-flyers and went ahead, but Tone came out fighting in the second quarter and closed the gap. 

The Tone defence worked tirelessly, but Tomahawks proved too strong.

MONMOUTH got off to a good start despite the wind and slippery courts and led the first quarter 11-7. 

Helen Lucas and Charlotte Denman’s movement and accurate shooting built a 10-goal lead at half time, and the team sealed an emphatic win.

Quantock 66, Neptune 23

AFTER taking an early lead, Quantock upped their game in the second quarter and went 30-11 ahead. 

Interceptions and great shooting saw this lead extended, and safe passing in the final quarter helped secure the win.

Priory 39, Spears 41

JUST as Priory were getting into their stride and extending their lead in the second quarter, an overturned ankle saw Priory lose WA Mel Reynolds. 

This interrupted their flow, and it was 31-31 going into the final quarter.
With another Priory injury, this time to GA Maisie Reynolds, Spears pulled away in an exciting finale.

Blackdown 35, Rubies 34

BOTH sides started well and Blackdown held a 19-18 advantage at halfway. 

Blackdown got into a good rhythm and then held on to claim victory.

ON a stormy day, Tudor stormed 7-0 ahead and continued to play good netball, winning comfortably. 

Shooters Tanya and Tash excelled in the strong winds; POM: Abbey Teape.

Also in Division 3, Brendon beat Sydenham’s Emeralds 33-29, with Tasha Levy player of the match.

Galmington 49, Carol Anne 46

GALMINGTON clinched a three-goal win against Barnstaple-based Regional League opponents Carol Anne. 

An outstanding shooting performance by young GA Meg Conabeare saw her claim player of the match.

Hucclecote 54, Trident 52

TRIDENT finished two goals short in their fixture with Gloucester-based Hucclecote.

In what is always a tough fixture, Trident fought hard and, despite a stand-out performance by Sharon Chester at GK, Hucclecote were just too good on the day. 

Nevertheless, Trident look forward to tackling them at home later in the season.

CLAREMONT stormed their match against the Bridgwater side, winning by 16 goals.

Player of the match went to GK Jess Hewitt for yet another consistent performance.

QUEENSWAY had a fantastic match in defence, with captain Debbie Bere (GD) and GK Carol Manning on form.
