Minehead Under-11s beat Weston Super Mare 20-14 in a well-contest encounter.
Weston kicked off and with strong passing drove through the Minehead defence to score the first try of the match in the first minute.
A quick follow up from Minehead’s kick saw Liddle finish a swift and driving reply.
However, Weston replied with more passing out to the wing and again went into the lead scoring despite the efforts of Hood.
A final scrum and strong driving this time from Minehead, saw the first half end with a try from the scrum half Howard tight in the corner.
Reeson scored a try then Francis forced a maul to ground and a pick and run lead to the final try of the match by Nathan Metcalf.
Weston closed the final minutes with a turnover scrum that lead to an unfortunate pass to Calladine on the open wing.
Weston added two conversions.
