TAUNTON Town striker Omar Simpson has left the table-topping club to re-join Paulton Rovers.
Simpson, a former Team GB sprinter, was brought in from Paulton in September as a replacement for Lewis Powell but has struggled to hold down a regular place in Leigh Robinson's starting XI.

The frontman notched three times in the league for the Peacocks - the highlight being a brace in the 3-1 win at Bishops Cleeve - and once more in the BigFreeBet.com Challenge Cup.
Though Simpson was not a regular starter, he was a useful option from the bench and his departure - along with the impending exit of Ross Staley - makes it likely Taunton will be looking to add bodies to their squad in the coming weeks to keep their promotion push on track.
The Peacocks are next in action on New Year's Day at home to Bideford (3pm).
