HUNTSHAM Fete went with a swing on Saturday with the help of Tiverton Concert Band.

The sunshine brought out crowds of young and old to stroll on the manicured lawns of Huntsham House and take in a cream tea, tombola, coconut shies and many other attractions, all to the back drop of the Concert Band playing a range of swing and light classics.

Concert Band chairman, Liam Edwards, says that the group enjoys supporting local activities such as Huntsham Fete.

Mr Edwards said: “We are currently rehearsing for our next concert at St Pauls, 7.30pm on July 20.” The Concert Band loves taking its music out to new audiences like this one in Huntsham.

“He will also be playing at fetes in Washfield on July 6 and at Withleigh on July 20 - that’s going to be a busy day, with our concert in the evening! We’ve had a lovely afternoon here and if the weather holds up like today we are going to have a couple more wonderful afternoons in Washfield and Withleigh.”
