Somerset’s Changing Landscape photo competition: Terms and conditions

Theme: Somerset’s Changing Landscape

Competition entry is FREE and you may enter up to three photographs.
To submit each photograph, please email them as attachments to admin@cpresomerset.org.uk, or use the online form, with the following information:
• Photographer’s name
• Address
• Email address
• Telephone number
• Location of photo
• Date photo taken
• Name of photograph or caption (no more than 20 words)

Competition Rules
1. Photographs should be recent (taken within 24 months of the competition closing date) and taken within the administrative county of Somerset – that is within the districts of Mendip, Sedgemoor, South Somerset, Taunton Deane and West Somerset (including Somerset bits of Exmoor National Park). This does not include North Somerset or B&NES.
2. You do not have to be a resident of Somerset to enter.
3. We can only accept digital images.
4. Images should be in jpeg format and have a minimum file size of 1Mb, and maximum 10Mb. Please do not send any emails with total attachments over 10MB.
5. CPRE Somerset will not accept responsibility for lost or damaged entries.
6. Photographers will retain copyright for their work, however, CPRE Somerset will maintain the right to exhibit and use images in print and online for purposes of promoting their charitable work; photographers will be accredited at all times.
7. This competition is only open to amateur photographers. For the purposes of this competition, we define amateur as a person who earns less than 50% of their annual income through the sales of their photography.
8. Entrants must have obtained permission of any people featured in the entries (or their parents/guardians if children under 16 are featured) - on the understanding that the image can be used in accordance with point number 7 in these Terms and Conditions of entry.
9. The closing date of the competition is 31st July 2018. Entries must reach us by midnight on that day. 10. Our favourite 50 entries will be displayed at a venue in Somerset in September 2018 and online at http://www.somersetcountygazette.co.uk/cprecompetition.
Two winners will be selected from these finalists: one which has received the most public votes and one to be decided by the judges. Prizes will be awarded at CPRE Somerset’s AGM in October 2018.
11. Submission of a photograph for the competition is taken as an agreement to abide by the above rules.
