ALL eyes will be on Taunton’s Apple and Parrot pub this weekend for the world's first Old Grey Parrot Test, a two day live music festival being held on February 17 and February 18.
Around 16 hours of top musicians and bands will perform the very best in acoustic, soul, blues, rock, jazz, covers and originals over the two days.
And it's not just a showcase for the bands - there's a competitive element too. The people's favourite band will win free studio recording time at the Beehive studios.
Among the line up is Toby Thorne, Lenny Savage, the Devil's Duo, rock covers band Drenched, Tom Toogood, Karl Ficarotta, Tom Fiz, the Honey Bees and the Apple and Parrot's house band, Captain Turned Civilian with their lead singer Simon Farrar.
The idea of the Old Grey Parrot Test is to stage a Glastonbury type experience indoors, with great food and a big range of ales and ciders.
The Apple and Parrot also offers regular activities from Mondays to Sundays. Wednesday night is acoustic night, offering a midweek session, particularly for bands gigging at weekends, Thursday is jam night, Fridays and Saturdays are devoted to live bands and on Sunday nights it's time to get your head around Lenny's Quiz Night.
