WHAT happens to our imaginary friends when they are “unimagined”?

A family-friendly show which tells the story of two imaginary friends is coming to Taunton at 2.30pm on September 17 to investigate the nature of those special friends and what happens to them when we grow up, in hilarious circumstances.

Margo & Mr Whatsit, from the Paddleboat Theatre Company, is a “playful family show about imaginary friends and growing up”.

A spokesman for the play said: “Mr Whatsit is Sophia’s best friend. He’s always there with a new joke to tell and a new game to play – that is, until the day she unimagines him. Now Sophia has a new imaginary friend – the tea-drinking, lipstick-wearing, ever-confident Margo.

“Can Mr Whatsit’s childish playfulness keep him from being unimagined forever? And as Sophia’s imagination competes against itself, will she manage to find peace in her new home?”

The play is taking place at the Tacchi-Morris Arts Centre and is part of the venue’s Pay What You Decide scheme.

The concept means that after the show has finished, audience members can decide individually on a price based on their experience and enjoyment of the evening. If they haven’t enjoyed it there is no obligation to pay – if they have they can give accordingly.
