A MARIONETTE coupled with circus skills are set to provide audiences in Taunton with the WOW factor.

Today, Thursday, August 10, the Pocket Pluff Productions company will be performing One Man and His Doll at the Brewhouse Theatre in Taunton.

This quirky and entertaining kids show uses theatrical comedy and hand to hand acrobatics.

One of the performers, Harry Clements said: “The short play is where I come and do an acrobatic routine with what looks like a doll or a marionette but it is in fact another human being. I think at the end people go away having watched a very funny play and are impressed by what they have seen.

“Then after the play we hold a workshop where members of the audience can take part in learning circus skills.

Somerset County Gazette:

“It is interesting to do the play as the marionette (Kirsty) only has limited movement and we have to keep her movement as real as what a marionette can do.”

Harry, 27, went to circus school in Bristol and graduated three years ago.

He and his co-performer Kirsty Eddington set up their own company Pocket Fluff Productions and do corporate work, village fetes and festivals all around Europe.

The show will be on today at 11am, 1pm and 2pm. Each performance will be followed by a chance to learn circus skills.
