THE Octagon Theatre has announced the charities they will be raising money for over the course of their 2018/19 pantomime production, ‘Aladdin’, are the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance and The Foyer Club.
This year looks to be another busy season with more than 9,000 tickets already sold for ‘Aladdin’ – early booking is advisable for the best seats.
Adam Burgan, Arts & Entertainment Manager, said, “We are excited to announce this year’s pantomime bucket collection charities.
“Each year we are blown away by the support and generosity of our fantastic patrons and visitors, helping us to raise funds for so many worthy causes.
“We are delighted to be raising money for the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance – an incredible service that we are lucky to have – and The Foyer Club – who offer fantastic support to the arts locally.”
Launched in 2000, the Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance has flown more than 12,500 missions. In a single day the service can attend up to eight or nine incidents.
It receives no direct funding and so relies upon the generosity of the public for support.
