AN explosion of wool and yarn is about to hit Taunton.

Look out for this years wonderful woollen trail of delights for Taunton Live Arts Festival. With a central theme of ‘When Worlds Collide’ the groups showcase their identity and beliefs through their artwork with a diverse, humorous and thought provoking display.

Kris and Katie, the winners of last years yarnbombing trail with their yarn based band of critters at Note-Orious Music, have been needling away on this years display since March.

Katie said: “I’m so excited for everyone to see what we (and by that I mostly mean Kris!) have been working on. With this years Taunton Live having a ‘World’ theme, it took me no time at all to think of a perfect idea for our display.

Their work will be on display from July 1 at Note-Orious Music, along with other yarnbombing efforts such as.The Bishops Lydeard Yarnbombers who will be adorning The Cosy Club with knitted & crocheted scenes of Remembrance. This year Bath Place Yarnbombers have been busy taking part in two yarnbombs this summer.

One for Taunton Live and then the other on August 17 for two weeks. This year’s theme by the award winning group is ‘Save The Bee’s’ to coincide with the Quaker meeting house getting Bee’s! See all of these displays at various locations around Taunton in July including: n Woollen Creations-Temple Methodist Church , Upper High Street, n Nature Trail- The Museum of Somerset , Castle Green.
