THE end of season concert for Taunton Deane Male Voice Choir plays host to one of the biggest names on the UK opera scene.

Naomi Harvey who is currently performing with the Royal Opera House and Welsh National Opera will be guest soloist at the event at The Tacchi-Morris Arts centre on Sunday, June 11.

Born and educated in Cornwall, Ms.Harvey studied with William McAlpine at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.

Having worked in an extensive and broad range of repertoire, over the last two decades she has performed with many leading companies throughout Europe. Recent engagements include the title role in Puccini’s Tosca at the National Concert Hall, Dublin, Ines and cover Leonora Il Trovatore for Scottish Opera, Gertrud Hansel & Gretel with Welsh National Opera, Donna Anna Don Giovanni, and the covers of Senta The Flying Dutchman.

Taunton Deane Male Voice Choir is constantly in demand across the south west, and further afield. Its three main aims are to preserve the traditions and standards of male voice singing, to maintain public interest in male voice choirs and to assist organisations in raising money for charitable causes.

Over the years the choir has performed at countless charity concerts locally and nationally promoting both Taunton and Male Voice Choral Singing.
