AN afternoon of acoustic music down the pub with a professional musician is on the cards for anyone who pops along to an historic Edwardian pub in Minehead.

Andy Doran will be performing live at The Old Ship Aground, in Quay Street, on Sunday, June 4, from 12.30pm until 2.30pm.

He said: “I’m ready and raring to perform again at the pub. I have some great cover tracks to play that I’m sure lots of people will enjoy and I hope to create a great atmosphere for people to soak up as they tuck into their pints or Sunday lunches.”

The Old Ship Aground is an fahistoric Edwardian pub located on the harbour in Minehead.

It boasts views across the harbour and out onto the Quantocks and Wales.

The pub prides itself on its contemporary country dishes as well as traditional real ales and ciders. Summer evenings can be spent in its outside area or during colder months visitors can warm up in front of the roaring fire.

Entry to the event is free and food and drinks can be purchased from the bar.

Janina Tonks, from The Old Ship Aground, said: “We couldn’t imagine a Sunday afternoon without the soothing sounds from Andy and his guitar.
