THIS week’s My Top Five Tracks comes from Gareth Peebles, marketing officer at the Brewhouse Theatre in Taunton.
TRACK 1: Jamie T – Man Not A Monster
Punk & ska were the first genres that I really became obsessed with and every so often Jamie T likes to lean on these genres (among others) to make something that sounds new.

TRACK 2: The Prodigy – Breathe
I was 11 years old when I heard this track for the first time. I hadn’t heard anything like it, and I still haven’t. The album that it’s taken from, ‘The Fat of the Land’ is peerless.

TRACK 3: N.W.A - Express Yourself
This track by NWA is a stone cold classic. The positivity found in this track makes me happy every time I hear it.

TRACK 4: Howlin’ Wolf - Smokestack Lightnin’
It all started way back when with the blues, and for me, this track continues to age like a fine wine. Wolf’s gravely vocals and poppy “woo-oooh” chorus makes it hard not to love. Timeless.

TRACK 5: Oscar Peterson - Night Train
As well as being a music fan, I’m a bit of a film nerd too with Back to the Future being one of my all-time favourites. The track listed here is one of the songs you hear during the ‘Enchantment Under the Sea Dance’. Also check out the James Brown version; same tune.
