THIS year’s Taunton Jazz Festival kicks off with a gig at the Tacchi-Morris Arts Centre featuring two of the South West’s finest jazz musicians – Martin Dale and Craig Milverton.

The boys have teamed up to form a quartet to record their first CD, ‘From Hand to Mouth’, which will be launched at the Festival.

Some of the best musicians in the Bristol area, The Andy Hague Quintet, will be on stage at 8pm.

AS part of the festival the National Youth Jazz Orchestra will perform at Taunton’s Brewhouse on Sunday at 7.45pm.

Well-known as a glittering showcase for the country’s best young musicians, the NYJO aims to share the talents of these exciting young players with as wide an audience as possible and has performed hundreds of concerts all over Britain, including Ronnie Scott’s, the Royal Albert Hall and Royal Festival Hall.
