SOMERSET Arts Week 2010 concludes with the 'Out of Context' exhibition at Tithe Barn, Cotley, near Chard, on Sunday, October 3.

Art group Hacker Farm have converted the barn's back room into a makeshift medieval cinema, while the main room plays host to a 'farm-yard sound system'.

Housed in rusting milk churns and salvaged agricultural scrap, the sound system plays audio recordings of cows, but with a difference - the sounds have been digitally 'distressed' until they become ghost-like and impressionistic, suggesting a spectral and unsettling post-rural landscape.

Other works include Liz Fathers' cider apple spiral, Gary Dickins' new project made from farmyard objects, and Natalie Parsley's farm tools painting inspired by a visit to her grandmother's farm.
