THE government’s decision to make Taunton a Garden Town is going to be extremely hard on disabled drivers with Blue Badges, unless it has already had this in mind, knocking out streets like East Street and Hammett Street, areas where there are disabled spaces.
I have an increasingly disabling walking mobility problem, which would knock out any use of using these roads, which are at present my arm and leg in getting to shops and back that I use frequently.
I am unable to walk the distance from any car park with disabled spaces to the above areas, except St James street.
