DOZENS of health professionals from across Somerset were joined by TV personality Angela Rippon at a wide-ranging dementia conference.
The event, run by Somerset Care, played hostto over 160 delegates at Dillington House, near Ilminster, for a conference entitled ‘Dementia – The Learning Curve’.
Delegates heard keynote speeches from Sarah Pickup, president of the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services, and Ms Rippon, co-chair of the Dementia Friendly Communities Champion Group.
Somerset Care chief executive Alyson Martin said: “The conference was an excellent opportunity to share ideas and best practice on improving services for people living with dementia.
“We were delighted that many people who attended feltthe day was inspiring and informative.”
