HOW can you boost your immune system?

Here’s how – come on Monday, November 18, at 7pm and listen to three experienced complementary therapists talk about their work and answer your questions.

Ruth Hermolle speaks about homeopathy as a system of medicine that works with your natural resistance to disease, improving health and reducing recurring infections. These gentle remedies are useful for simple colds, ear infections, coughs, flu, and sinus problems.

Irene Cox explains how aromatherapy essential oils can support and strengthen the immune system and how to use them safely in your home this autumn.

Alison Courtney shows how acupuncture boosts the immune system by strengthening your Qi (energy) and easing stress.

Predisposing health issues such as recurrent colds, bronchitis, coughs and chest infections, are considered and are integral to the diagnosis and successful treatment of a lowered immunity.

Book your place by ringing 01823- 338968 or email post@theterrace.co.uk (this talk is free but booking is essential).

Focus on Family Counselling

FAMILIES need support when behaviours are challenging and communication isn’t working.

A child may be experiencing difficulties at school and tension may be raised at home with parents thinking “What else can I do when nothing seems to be working?”

Obvious stress points may be triggered by changes such as a new arrival, a separation, bereavement, a move or change in school.

Bringing family members together in a safe and supportive environment can often help to build better communication and understanding of each other, often leading to an effort to change their behaviours in some way.

Karen Green, clinical psychologist, and Sue-Claire Morris, BACP Accred. psychotherapist, both work with families, children, parents and couples. They are experienced practitioners, each with many years of family work, and would be happy to have a confidential conversation about any concerns.

Appointments are available during the day and evenings, weekdays – call 01823-338968 or email post@the-terrace.co.uk to speak to Karen or Sue-Claire.

Shaping Anger with Couples, led by Jill Gabriel

THIS weekend group (November 23 and 24) supports couples to explore patterns of anger which undermine their relationship and helps them to replace these with open communication structures – a great tool for any couple trapped in anger cycles.
