Somerset County League Division 1: Worle 2, Watchet Town 10.
WATCHET Town went into Saturday's final game at Worle knowing they had been promoted, but still managed to finish the season in style.
With the pressure off following Keynsham Reserves' surprise midweek defeat at Tunley, the Red and Blacks only led Worle 2-1 at the break.
But the hosts lost the plot after the break and Watchet took advantage to hit double figures.
They took the lead midway through the fiirst half when a sweeping move ended with Simon Chilcott chesting the ball down for Steve Wild to volley home.
Worle levelled but Watchet regained the lead before half-time when John Harris's long throw was swept in by Chris Sully.
Watchet took a firm grip of the game with two goals in as many minutes after the break - Jamie Milton and Harris on target.
Worle then began to fold as Harris drove home the fifth and Milton sprang the off-side trap to lift a superb chip into the net. Worle pulled one back but Watchet kept piling forward and extended the lead with strikes from Harris - to complete his hat-trick - and Dominic Richards, either side of Worle's captain being sent off.
Keeper Adam Bishop even got in on the act, scoring from the penalty spot before Harris squared for Sully to complete the rout.
